Notes: “André for Converse Chuck Taylor All Star collection”

Converse presents for this Fall 2012, a limited edition in collaboration with the renowned French artist, hotelier and entrepreneur André Saraiva night.

I have always liked Converse, although when I "abandoned” puberty I stopped using them daily. It's always in my head to make an investment in one again and adapt it to my daily life.… maybe this is a great excuse! (PVP: 110€).

Two designs of the mythical All Star that include the model “Love”, which refers to the Hôtel Amour who founded in the French capital, y “Purple”, as a nod to his friend Oliver Zahm, editor-in-chief of Purple Magazine.

World famous, Saraiva began to gain notoriety as graffiti artist in the late nineties thanks to his simple and fresh style. He turned his character “Mr. A” in identity stamp, invadiendo las calles de París con un llamativo color fucsia y acabó por conquistar el mundo del arte y de la moda. Thanks to his artistic endeavors he met Oliver Zahm, editor-in-chief of the French magazine Purple Magazine, who became a friend and frequent collaborator of Saraiva. Además, Saraiva founded the famous nightclubs ‘Le Baron’, known worldwide for incredibly mixing fashion, art and nightlife.

«The collaboration was about family. I thought it would be fun to work with people I like like Oliver Zahm«, Saraiva says. «I chose the Chuck Taylor All Star because they are the ones I used when I was 13 years and the inspiration is classic with touches of night.”

Collaboration is part of the Converse First String program, a limited edition product line that celebrates craftsmanship and authenticity. The collection will be available from September 2012 at Conv Premium outletsbe worldwide.

The André for Chuck Taylor All Star Collection combines ultra-premium details on the classic silhouette,  of the most vintage ecru color. Both models have natural canvas and sheepskin lining inside. In this edition, Saraiva's iconic "Monsieur A" is sealed inside the tongue . Además,  for the design "Purple", a custom patch has been placed by Saraiva, on the opposite side of the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star ankle patch. As a final seal, the “Love” model” It has a pink sole and the same color laces, and for the model “Purple” in purple, in addition to an extra set of laces to match the shoes for both models.
