I was lucky enough to be part of the jury of the XIV Contest of Young Designers of Andalusia of ANDE Andalucía. ¡accompany me!
Young designers from Eastern Andalusia paraded during the first week of December in the Science Park of Granada to show the future of the sector of moda in an initiative that is committed to promoting new talent in the textile industry. Organized by the Association of New and Young Designers (SPIRIT) and Gestac Congresses, 9 designers presented their proposals to an audience –and a jury- hungry for news. It is a contest to publicize new fashion values.
The names of the participants and their collections were: Elena Alcaraz Rios: “0ASIS” / Paula Carmona Pirez: “GRENADE 18PI” / Oliver Ceron Dominguez (ANVER): "PALM” / Lola Contreras Moreno: “WANTED” / Ma Alexandra Emmerlich Quirós “SERENDIPIA” / Mª Paz Guillén Feltrer “THE FOLD… / Patricia Luke Alvarado “POSEIDON” /José Gabriel Muñoz Arcos “EXOESQUELETUM” / Juan Manuel Saavedra Linares “QUERCUS”
The judge, chaired by Elio Berhanyer, dean of fashion designers in Spain and Fine Arts Award, featured personalities from the textile world such as (apart from myself), Susana Poyatos, Claudina Mata, Conchi Insua, Teresa Martin and Laura Victoria Valencia Renteria, President of Ande.
The designer from Almería, Jose Gabriel Munoz Arcos, with his collection “EXOESQUELETUM”, inspired by rococo art, was the winner of this contest and thanks to this the winner will be able to present himself to the national contest that ANDE organizes annually. Here below you can see two designs of the winner
I have made a Dayari Video for you to accompany me on this adventure. ¡Espero que os guste!
