The variety of floral prints has been huge in New York and everyone trying to achieve that impressionist touch of free strokes for the 2012.
One of the most repeated trends in the Week of the Moda from New York for the upcoming summer season 2012 have been the flower prints, but giving it an impressionistic interpretation. Es decir, it is not the typical and normal flower pattern, but they are revised giving aspects of paintings or much more diluted forms and becoming true allegations to impressionism, where it is highlighted that they are flowers for what they move us and not only for what we see.
Diane von Furstenberg
Flowers that masquerade as geometric elements to achieve very interesting volumes and shapes…. I have always liked the vision of Diane von Furstenberg.
Vivienne Tam
In the Vivienne Tam parade, this trend has been joined with another that opted for the most urban woman., without forgetting the elegant touches like those black dresses or those sophisticated prints.
Proenza Schouler
The colors are much more muted but still have the essential strength for spring – verano. Here we also see a sample of geometric designs, another of the strongest trends seen in New York and that I will tell you about in another post
Altuzarra
Wait Olowu
I love the simplicity that these dresses breathe even when they are full of print, color and flowers…
Peter Som
Great variety of ideas but all with that common incentive, that flower pattern that more than showing clearly suggests that they are the queens of the plant world.
