Brilliant retrospective of the French genius Jean-Charles de Castelbajac in this issue of Industrie.

I have “recognized” to this genius through these images, and I say recognized since when performing a subsequent search, I already knew many of his creations, but I didn't remember his name: Jean-Charles de Castelbajac

In these photographs we see how the clothes mix with the illustration – also made by the designer himself –, which is combined with the work of Sharif Ham on camera and Julia Saner as a mannequin.

Different but generous creations, that make you surprised but admiring the quality of the ideas and designs. It wouldn't be a bad thing to make more edits of moda that extol geniuses like him, fun, disaffected, but with an important and necessary thoughtful touch in fashion.

Sober Jean-Charles de Castelbajac

Known and recognized for his strong pop spirit, the designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac is, together with Yves Saint Laurent and other French creators, one of the greatest exponents of the break what happened in the world –also in fashion and aesthetics– after the May revolution 68.

Born in Casablanca (Morocco) en 1949, since graduating in the School of Fine Arts and in the Superior School of Clothing Industries, began working on her own women's collection within the Ko and Ko brand.

¿Why I love this designer?

Sin duda, These photos are just a small sample of Castelbajac's mastery, and if you explore the web you will surely find some designs that will surprise you, like the Smiley dress or the Obama dress.

You know that I love casual fashion, and from now on Jean-Charles de Castelbajac is one of my fetish designers, for original and funny; and to achieve with simple proposals to surprise and conquer. In addition, with photos like these they show us that it was a true visionary – sequins, prints, etc….

In these images that I place I am missing many references to the work of this genius, but following the editorial line, this retrospective is great. Let's see if a little later they dare to explore the most lively part of Castelbajac!
