El jurado internacional de 080 has chosen the collection «REFLECTIONS» as the best of the current edition of the Catalan catwalk, por la creatividad, calidad y proyección internacional de la propuesta. The designer Georgina Vendrell has received a Special Mention.
The designer Josep Abril has been the winner of the Prize 080 Barcelona Fashion for its collection «REFLECTIONS». The Minister of Business and Employment, Felip Puig, accompanied by the members of the international jury of the 080, has delivered this morning the award that distinguishes the best collection of this thirteenth edition of the catwalk of moda Catalan and is endowed with 20.000 euros. The designer Georgina Vendrell has received a Special Mention for her collection «DUALISMOS”.
The Minister congratulated the winners and highlighted the success of this 080, ya que «has made a turning point for the creative character of entrepreneurs and designers, for the strength and consolidation of the big brands and collections and for the environment that has welcomed this new fashion event». Puig has highlighted that «today we have in 080 an international event.

The international jury of 080 has chosen the collection «REFLECTIONS» as the best of the current edition of the Catalan catwalk, por la creatividad, calidad y proyección internacional de la propuesta.
The Catalan designer has presented an urban and elegant man for next season without losing the characteristic stamp of the creator. His most classic proposals have been applied to dresses and coats, while the most experimental and risky bets have been the jumpsuits and overalls with unstructured patterns. Just with the traditional black, April has made a strong commitment to checks -which are superimposed on jackets and shirts- sky blue and ice gray, and for the navy blue that applies to jerseys of lana knitted and braided.
Josep Abril is a designer who has been present in several editions of the Catalan catwalk. He created his own firm in 1996 and in his career the creative direction of the collection stands out «Armand Basi One Home» desde 2007; The birth of «April Studio”, the studio for the creation of concepts and fashion projects; launching the line «Uniformed By», of design uniformity; or its link to the world of teaching, teaching classes andworkshops in various design schools (IED, ESDI, Elisava and Felicidad Duce). He also works as an external consultant and art director.

La colección «DUALISMOS» by Georgina Vendrell stands out for being a proposal based on contrasts, the duality in the union of opposite concepts with a result that transmits harmony and balance. The mixture of materials and finishes are present in the pressed wool, the faux fur, neoprene and circular knit, where blacks predominate, the grays and the blues.
The international jury of this thirteenth edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion is made up of the international sales and purchase advisor for Harvey Nichols Hong Kong in Paris, and president of the jury, Song Pham; Holt Renfrew's fashion consultant – Lambert and Associates, Fountain Victory; the stylist and editor at El País Semanal and fashion brand consultant, Anna Vallés Recasens; the Fashion Director of Standard Magazine and founder of Modaclic.com, Perrine Muller; and the director of Idep Barcelona and founder of the Platform of Fashion Schools of Barcelona, Oscar Heir.
